C41 Chicken Dhansak


For 1 Continued...
1 portion precooked chicken 50 gm red lentils
1 tbspn oil 1 tbspn lemon juice
300 ml c41 curry base sauce 1 pineapple ring
2 tspn c41 dhansak spice mix 50 ml pineapple juice
½ tspn hot chilli powder ¼ tspn salt
1 tspn green chilli  



  1. Heat the oil in a wok or heavy pan and cook the c41 dhansak spice mix and chilli powder for 1 min, stirring.
  2. Add the green chilli and cook, stirring regularly, for 1 min.
  3. Add the lentils and 80 ml of c41 base sauce and cook for 1 min.
  4. Add the chicken, salt and 80 ml of c41 base sauce and cook, stirring regularly, for 3 min, adding more c41 base sauce as needed to maintain a thick sauce consistency.
  5. Add the pinjeapple chunks, pineapple juice and lemon juice, stir well, and cook for 2 min.


  1. Serve with rice and garnish with a little freshly chopped coriander.


Only about 200 ml of c41 base sauce is likely to be needed.
